Exhaly is a suction device with a spring-loaded plunger stored compressed inside the body. You place the mask over the person's nose and mouth, press it down for a seal, and press the red button. The plunger springs upward on its own and creates instant one-way suction that pulls the obstruction into the mask. You don't pull anything, and there are no batteries to charge.

No. A one-way valve inside the unit means air can only travel out of the airway, never into it. When you push the plunger back down to reset the device, that air leaves through the side vents at the base, away from the person. Suction only ever runs in one direction: out.

Exhaly ships with three air-cushioned masks: adult (ages 12+), pediatric (ages 3 to 12) and infant (ages 1 to 3). Use the one that seals around the person's nose and mouth without gaps. Keep each suction to three seconds or less, and always have the person checked by a medical professional afterwards.

Yes. It is designed to be self-administered: seal the mask over your own nose and mouth, hold the body firmly in both hands and press the button. The plunger springs outward, away from you. That is what makes it an option for people who live alone, when nobody is there to perform the Heimlich.

No formal training. The whole process is three steps: place, press, remove. We do recommend one practice run when it arrives: remove the safety ring, press a mask against your palm and press the button to feel how the device does the pulling. Then push the plunger back down and refit the ring.

There is no expiry date and nothing inside that runs out. The device can be reused after practice sessions; just push the plunger back down to reset it. After use in a real choking emergency we recommend replacing it. Press the trigger once every three months to keep the moving parts moving.

You have 180 days from delivery to return an unused, unopened device for a refund. Email support@exhaly.net with your order number and we will send return instructions. If a unit arrives damaged or doesn't work as it should, tell us straight away and we will replace it.
