About Exhaly: Choking Rescue for Every Home

Who we are:
Exhaly is made by Rivona Corp Ltd, a UK-registered medical device manufacturer founded by a former paramedic. We started with one idea: in a choking emergency the person who has to act first is not the paramedic, it is whoever is in the room.

What the Exhaly Manual is:
A compact, hand-operated suction device for the moments when back blows and abdominal thrusts have not worked or cannot be done: on yourself, on someone who has collapsed, on a person who cannot be stood up. Place the mask, press the collar to seal, pull the handle, and repeat until the object comes out. A one-way valve means air is only ever drawn out of the airway, never pushed in. It is a UKCA-marked Class I medical device, and we are registered with the MHRA as its manufacturer.

Our mission:
Access to life must be accessible. Exhaly is small enough to live next to the first aid kit, in the kitchen drawer or in the glovebox, ready when it matters most. It is a backup to first aid, not a replacement for it: always call 999 or 112 in a choking emergency.

Integrity Above All

When well-being is on the line, honesty is non-negotiable. We operate with complete transparency and always do what's right.

Decisive Action

We cut through the noise to focus on what truly matters, delivering effective and rapid solutions when you need them most.

Relentless Innovation

We are constantly refining, learning, and improving our life-saving tools to ensure the highest standard of safety.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions people ask before they buy. The rest live on the FAQ page.

It is a hand-operated suction plunger. Place the mask over the nose and mouth, press and hold the red collar so the mask seals all the way round, then pull the handle back to create suction. If the object does not come out on the first pull, keep pushing and pulling the handle without lifting the mask. Suction builds with every stroke, so repeat it two or three times or more. A tight seal is essential: no seal, no suction.

No. On the downstroke the air inside the cylinder leaves through the exhaust valve to the outside, and the one-way valve stays shut, so nothing is pushed towards the person. On the upstroke the one-way valve opens and the pull is directed out of the airway only. Made to pull, not push.

Two soft, air-cushioned masks: adult and child. Choose the one that seals around the nose and mouth without gaps. The device is for complete airway obstruction only, after back blows and abdominal thrusts have been tried without success, and it is not for anyone weighing less than 10 kg (22 lb). Keep each suction to three seconds or less.

Yes. Hold the device in both hands, seal the mask over your own nose and mouth, press the collar to hold the seal and pull the handle. Repeat the push-pull stroke until the object comes out. Practise the motion once with the mask against your palm so your hands know it before you ever need it.

It is a UKCA-marked Class I medical device. The manufacturer, Rivona Corp Ltd, is a UK company registered with the MHRA (registration number 0000038189) and the device is listed on the MHRA's public register. Registration is not approval or endorsement by the MHRA, and we never describe it that way. The box carries the UKCA mark, the MD symbol and a GS1 UDI code you can check.

No. Call 999 or 112 first, or have someone call while you act. Back blows and abdominal thrusts remain the first response, and everyone should learn them. Exhaly is the backup for the minutes before help arrives, when standard first aid has not worked or cannot be done: on yourself, on someone who has collapsed, on a person who cannot be stood up.

The device is reusable after practice. Inspect the mask and body for cracks or leaks before each use and keep it out of reach of children. Masks are for personal use only and wash in warm soapy water. You have 180 days from delivery to return an unused device, on top of your 14-day right to cancel under UK consumer law. Email support@exhaly.net with your order number. Your statutory rights are not affected.
